Meethi Mathri
Mathri is perfect teatime snack in India.It is made from maida,or suji or besan or mixing of any of these ingredients together.You can make them any time of the year but Mathri is very much eaten in festivals like Holi,Deepawali or any other occasion.Meethi Mathries are special as these are made at the time of "Kavachauth" and eaten as Sargi.

Ingredients
1.In a bowl add flour ghee and salt and mix them well.
2.Add milk little by little and knead the dough.Keep it aside for atleast 10-15 minutes
and let it rest.
3.Now make small round dough and start rolling them in 5-6 inches of diameter or
roll it like chapatti size.
4.Prick its surface with the help of fork.so it doesn’t puff up.
5.Heat oil in a pan and fry them on medium heat until they are golden brown.
Fish them out on a paper towel to absorb extra oil.
6.In another deep pan add water and sugar together and heat it.
7.When all the sugar dissolve and it start bubbling add crushed green cardamom seed
and turn off the heat.
8.Let the syrup cool down for a while so that you can handle the heat with your hands.
9.Put all the Mathri in the syrup one by one and take them out.Garnish with sliced
almonds.Let them cool on room temperature for atleast 1 hours.
These mathries can be stored for more than one month.Serve with hot tea.
