Besan Ke Laddu

Beasn Laddu always reminds me of a long queue of children outside of temple waiting for laddu  as an offering.It is very famous dessert in India and prepared for festivals,wedding or given as Prasad.It is made of gram flour roasted in pure ghee and flavoured with green cardamom.After it gets cold it is moulded in ball shape and can be eaten any time of the day as snack or as dessert.

Ingredients

 10 ½ cups Garm flour(besan): or 1lb
 ½ cup Pure ghee:
 2 ¾ cups Sugar:
 Green cardamom:5-6 peeled and crushed coarsely.
For Garnishing:
 2 tsp Crushed pistachio:
 2 tsp Crushed almond:
 1 cup Grated coconut:

1.Heat ghee in a pan and add gram flour in it.

2  Mix it well and keep stirring it continuously for 35-38 minutes on medium heat.

    When gram flour completely roasted it gives very nice aroma and it starts 
    coming together.

3.Now let it cool for atleast 10 minutes or hot enough to handle the heat with your hands.

4.When cold, add  sugar and green cardamom in it mix well and start binding them.
5.For garnishing in coconut: roll them in grated  Coconut.
7.For pistachio garnishing dip one of the end of ladoo in crushed pistachio. 
8. Do same for the Almond garnishing.
9.Let them cool on room temperature for 40- 50 minutes or pop them in fridge for 10
   minutes.
