Pakoda is a fried snack and usually served at Tea time.It is complemented with Green Coriander- Mint Chutney.It is quite famous snack in Indian streets.Pakoda is mainly prepared with Gram flour batter.In this recipe I mixed two pulses(Moong and Urad) together and then I add chopped onion and cilantro leaves.So you can call it Onion Pakoda as well.I added some Semolina in the batter for extra crunch.when its deep fried it is crunchy outside and soft inside.Pakaoda is usually served with hot cup of tea.

 ½ cup Moog Dal:
 ½ cup Urad Dal:
 2 tbsp Sooji:
 ¼ cup Coriander leaves:(chopped)
 ¼ cup Onion:(chopped)
 Salt to taste
 2 Green chili: chopped
 ¼ tsp Asafetida:
Method:

1.Mix both Dal together and soak overnight.
2.Discard the soaked water and rinse thoroughly.Grind coarsely and whisk for couple of minutes.
3.Now add chopped Onion,Cilantro,Green chili in it and whisk well.Add Salt, Pepper, Asafetida and
   mix well one last time.
4.Heat oil in a deep pan and start pouring small amount of batter in the oil.
5.You can use an ice-cream scoop for more precise size of Pakodas.
6.Fry them for 5-6 minutes on medium heat or until golden brown.
7.Take them out on the plate lined with paper towel to absorb extra oil.
Serve hot with Green Chutney,Garlic Chutney and hot cup of Tea.
